Dental Emergencies

What are Dental Emergencies?

Dental emergencies can occur at any time and for a variety of reasons. They can leave you in pain, feeling frustrated, and with severe discomfort. We offer emergency care for both new and existing patients. We can provide help for adult and pediatric patients alike.

Why is Dental Emergency treatment needed?

If you’re experiencing an emergency and forgo treatment, the problem will often get worse. It’s very rare for dental problems to go away on their own without professional treatment. This can cause a minor issue to become more major, requiring extensive and invasive treatment to repair the damage. This is why we always recommend being seen right away as soon as you notice there’s a problem.

What happens during the Dental Emergency appointment?

We will begin your appointment by asking about the problem. This gives us the ability to decipher if an x-ray is needed. If the x-ray is needed, it’ll be taken at this time and used to help diagnose the issue. We then work to examine your teeth and mouth to determine the best way to go about treating your dental issue. We can provide treatment at the appointment to relieve you of the pain and discomfort that you’re feeling. If you have an infection, we’ll recommend that you take antibiotics before any type of treatment is done. You will benefit from having emergency treatment, as it helps to prevent the problem from getting worse if ignored.

If you have a dental emergency, call our office today and we can work to get you in to be seen right away.
